Overview

The 74HC/HCT273 is an 8-bit positive edge-triggered D-type flip-flop. The device features a clock input and a master reset input. The state of each output Qn depends on the state of the corresponding input Dn, subject to the setup and hold time requirements of the rising clock edge. When the master reset input is LOW, all outputs are forced LOW, independent of the clock and data inputs. Input clamping diodes are integrated on all device inputs, allowing the inputs to be interfaced to voltages higher than VCC through current-limiting series resistors.
