Overview
This series of fixed-voltage monolithic integrated circuit voltage regulators is designed for a wide range of applications. These applications include on-board regulation for noise elimination and addressing distribution issues associated with single-point regulation. In addition, they can be used with power-passing elements to form high-current voltage regulators. Each regulator can deliver up to 150mA of output current. Internal current limiting and thermal shutdown features make them virtually immune to overload. When used as a replacement for zener diode-resistor combinations, effective improvement in output impedance and lower quiescent current can be achieved.
