Overview

The CD4013BM+TD is a dual D flip-flop consisting of two identical and independent data-type flip-flops. Each flip-flop features separate data, set, reset, and clock inputs along with Q and Q̄ outputs. The device can be used as a shift register; by connecting the Q output to the data input, it can also function as a counter or toggle flip-flop. On the rising edge of the clock signal, the logic level applied to the D input is transferred to the Q output. Set and reset operations are independent of the clock and are accomplished by a high level on the set or reset line, respectively.
