Overview

CM6121 is a high-performance low-dropout linear regulator featuring an ultralow-noise and ultra-high PSRR architecture, making it ideal for noise-sensitive applications. The device integrates a high-accuracy current reference and a high-performance voltage buffer, allowing output voltage to be set with a single external resistor. This architecture enables multiple devices to be connected in parallel to further reduce noise, increase output current, and improve PCB thermal dissipation. The regulator delivers 500mA output current at a typical dropout voltage of 315mV. Typical quiescent current in normal operation is 2.7mA, with a maximum of only 1μA in shutdown mode. The CM6121 provides stable and excellent performance across a wide output voltage range of 1.7V to 15V, with output noise, PSRR, bandwidth, and load regulation virtually unaffected by output voltage. The device also features programmable current limiting, fast startup, and a power-good indicator. The CM6121 requires a minimum 10μF ceramic capacitor at the output for stable operation, and incorporates current-limiting and over-temperature protection to ensure system safety. The device is available in DFN10 and DFN12 packages, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
