DK036G

DK036G is a current-mode controlled quasi-resonant flyback AC-DC power management switch IC. It integrates a 700V/400mΩ GaN HEMT, control circuit, and gate driver on-chip, significantly reducing the external component count and overall system cost. DK036G operates in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM): when the core energy is fully released and the primary inductance resonates with the GaN HEMT junction capacitance to its valley, the primary power switch turns on, reducing turn-on switching loss and improving efficiency across the full power range. DK036G monitors the drain-to-source voltage of the power switch and turns it on at the voltage valley, thereby minimizing switching loss and improving EMI performance. DK036G greatly simplifies the design and manufacturing of flyback AC-DC converters, particularly for applications requiring high conversion efficiency and high power density. DK036G features comprehensive protection functions: output OVP, VCC over/under-voltage protection, OTP, open-loop protection, output OCP, and more.
