Overview
GP85210 is a high-performance AC/DC current-mode PWM power control IC with programmable over-temperature protection, suitable for chargers and adapters. The operating frequency is 65kHz with ±4% frequency dithering. When output power decreases, the IC reduces switching frequency based on β-balance control to improve light-load efficiency. When power drops below a certain threshold, the IC enters burst mode to reduce standby power consumption, keeping the no-load power consumption of the entire unit below 75mW. It features seamless OCP/OPP with OCP compensation noise cancellation technology, ensuring noise-free operation under heavy load at 90VAC input. Multiple protection functions are provided, including UVLO, VDD OVP, cycle-by-cycle current limiting OCP, pin open-circuit protection, OLP, and RT pin short-circuit protection. Available in SOT23-6 package.
