Overview
GP8616X is a constant-voltage, constant-current primary-side feedback quasi-resonant turn-on control IC designed for chargers and adapters. It features a proprietary output cable loss compensation technique that effectively compensates for the voltage drop caused by output current along the cable. The IC integrates an internal loop compensation circuit, eliminating the need for external compensation while ensuring good system stability. It offers excellent CV/CC characteristics with standby power consumption below 75mW. The IC incorporates multiple protection functions including open-circuit, overvoltage, and short-circuit protection, and is available in an SOP8 package.
