Overview

HX2306A is an overvoltage/overcurrent protection switch IC with a built-in high-voltage-rated power MOSFET. The IC continuously monitors the input voltage and output current. When the input voltage or output current exceeds the preset threshold, the IC cuts off the voltage and current path by turning off the power MOSFET, thereby protecting downstream devices. HX2306A features a fixed built-in overcurrent protection threshold. In addition, the IC also provides overtemperature protection and undervoltage protection. HX2306A is an overvoltage/overcurrent protection switch IC that controls the switching of the built-in power MOSFET by monitoring the input voltage, output current, and battery voltage, thereby protecting downstream devices. When the input voltage is detected to exceed the preset threshold, the IC immediately turns off the power MOSFET to prevent instantaneous high voltage from passing through. When the output current is detected to exceed the preset threshold, to eliminate the effect of glitch currents, the IC first waits for a fixed period of time. After this period, if the output current remains above the preset threshold current, the built-in power MOSFET is turned off to prevent high current from damaging downstream devices. In addition, the IC also provides overtemperature protection and undervoltage protection.
