Overview
The ICW7805/08/09/12/15 series are fixed-voltage three-terminal positive voltage regulator ICs, primarily used as fixed output voltage sources in various electronic equipment. The devices incorporate overtemperature, overcurrent, and safe operating area protection. With an appropriate external heatsink and adequate input voltage, the output current can exceed 1A. These devices can serve not only as fixed output voltage sources, but also — when configured with appropriate external components — deliver other required output voltages and currents.
