The INA300 is designed for overcurrent protection applications. It is a current-sensing comparator that detects overcurrent by measuring the voltage developed across a shunt resistor and comparing this voltage to a threshold voltage input level. This device can measure the differential voltage signal within a common-mode voltage range of 0V to 36V, independent of the supply voltage. The INA300 device has an adjustable threshold range, which is set by a single external limit-setting resistor. The optional hysteresis function can adjust the operation of the comparator to accommodate a wide input signal range from 0mV to 250mV. The open-drain alarm output on the device can be configured in transparent mode (where the output state matches the input state) or latch mode (where the alarm output is cleared when the latch is reset). The device's response time setting is optional, and it can quickly issue an overcurrent alarm within 10µs. The INA300 device operates with a single power supply of 2.7V - 5.5V, with a maximum supply current consumption of 135µA. The INA300 device is rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and is available in WSON-10 and VSSOP-10 packages.
