IP5306 is a multifunctional power management SoC integrating a boost converter, lithium battery charge management, and battery level indication, providing a complete power solution for power banks. Its high integration and rich feature set require minimal external components, effectively reducing overall solution size and BOM cost. The device requires only a single inductor to implement both buck and boost functions, supporting low-cost inductors and capacitors. The synchronous boost system delivers a maximum output current of 2.4A with conversion efficiency up to 92%; under no-load conditions, it automatically enters sleep mode with quiescent current dropping to 100µA. It employs switching charging technology to provide a maximum charging current of 2.1A with charging efficiency up to 91%, with built-in intelligent charging current adjustment based on IC temperature and input voltage. The device supports 1, 2, 3, or 4 LEDs for battery level display and comes in an ESOP8 package.
