The BT8929DB employs an ASIC design, eliminating the system lockup issues associated with MCU-based solutions and preventing chip reset failures caused by sub-threshold voltages. It integrates a microphone sensor detection circuit that supports direct microphone input, with built-in anti-interference processing to prevent false triggering. The chip integrates an internal MOSFET discharge switch capable of delivering over 6A peak current to the atomizer during use, supporting heating coils with impedance as low as 0.8Ω under adequate PCB thermal dissipation conditions. The chip operates with stable performance and includes heating coil short-circuit protection, cutting off output when load resistance falls below 0.4Ω (Typ.). Standby current in power-saving mode is only 2.2μA (Typ.). The charging input features a built-in OVP with a peak voltage rating exceeding 38V. An integrated independent lithium battery charge management circuit supports a wide range of AC-DC and USB charging sources, with multi-mode charging (trickle, constant current, constant voltage) for superior charging performance. The BT8929DB provides multiple protection features: extended puffing protection, output short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection, under-voltage protection, and more. It also features a visual LED status indication system with distinct LED patterns corresponding to different operating states. The BT8929DB is a highly integrated, high-performance control IC for e-cigarette applications. Unlike MCU-based solutions, its ASIC design eliminates system lockup and prevents chip reset failures caused by sub-threshold voltages.
