Overview
KP214X is a high-performance quasi-resonant, primary-side controlled power switch that delivers high-accuracy constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC) output performance, making it particularly suitable for low-power offline charger applications. In CV mode, the KP214X employs a multi-mode operation scheme combining amplitude modulation (AM) and frequency modulation (FM) control, improving system efficiency and reliability. In CC mode, the IC utilizes a constant current loop to achieve quasi-resonant control. The KP214X enables noise-free operation while ensuring excellent dynamic performance. The integrated line loss compensation feature provides superior CV output performance. The KP214X integrates multiple protection functions: VDD undervoltage lockout (UVLO), VDD overvoltage protection (OVP), cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection (OCP), short-circuit protection (SLP), FB short-circuit protection, and VDD clamping.
