Overview

KP421 is a current ripple cancellation IC that works with an external MOSFET to eliminate 100/120Hz current ripple generated by upstream LED drivers, achieving flicker-free operation. KP421 integrates an adaptive current regulation function that minimizes power loss while performing ripple cancellation. Its control algorithm ensures excellent steady-state and dynamic performance with compatibility for TRIAC dimming. KP421 incorporates comprehensive protection features for safe and reliable system operation, including: LED short-circuit protection, overcurrent protection, open-circuit protection, and overtemperature protection.
