Overview

The LD501 is an ultra-low noise, low dropout linear regulator operating from 2.2 V to 5.5 V, supporting maximum output currents of 150 mA (LD501L), 200 mA (LD501M), or 250 mA (LD501P). The LD501 features a very low dropout voltage: 70 mV at 150 mA load (LD501L), 94 mV at 200 mA load (LD501M), and 118 mV at 250 mA load (LD501P), enabling high-efficiency operation across a wide input voltage range. Thanks to an optimized circuit topology, the LD501 achieves ultra-low noise performance without a bypass capacitor, making it well suited for noise-sensitive or space-constrained RF applications. The LD501 delivers ultra-low noise performance without compromising PSRR or load transient response. In addition, the low quiescent current of 170 μA (LD501L), 200 μA (LD501M), or 229 μA (LD501P) makes the LD501 ideal for battery-powered portable devices. The LD501 supports 1 μF, ±30% ceramic capacitors at both input and output, meeting the demands of applications requiring both high performance and a small footprint. The LD501 offers more than 32 fixed output voltage options ranging from 1.1 V to 5.0 V. With built-in short-circuit protection and thermal overload protection, the LD501 is available in a SOT23-5 package to address a wide range of portable power applications.
