LM22679QTJ-5.0/NOPB

The LM22679 switching regulator provides all the functions needed to implement a highly efficient, high-voltage step-down regulator with minimal external components. This easy-to-use regulator integrates a 42V N-channel MOSFET switch capable of delivering up to 5A of load current, with excellent line and load regulation and high efficiency (>90%). Voltage-mode control provides a short minimum on-time, enabling the widest input-to-output voltage ratio. Internal loop compensation eliminates the tedious task of calculating loop compensation components. The regulator is available in both fixed 5V output and adjustable output voltage options. The 500kHz switching frequency enables the use of small external components and achieves good transient response. An adjustable soft-start feature can be implemented by selecting a single external capacitor. In addition, a single external resistor can be used to set the switching current limit, optimizing the solution. The LM22679 also incorporates thermal shutdown and current limiting to protect against accidental overload.
