Overview
The MG6228 regulator features low dropout voltage, high power supply rejection ratio, and ultra-low standby current. It consumes only 0.5uA quiescent current under no-load conditions, making it ideal for MCU systems — particularly battery-powered portable devices and other applications requiring continuous power supply. The device integrates common LDO regulator functions, including low dropout operation via a PMOS pass transistor, short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown protection. The MG6228 supports a maximum operating voltage of 6V, output voltage accuracy of ±2%, and selectable output voltages down to 1.8V. The device is available in multiple SMT packages: SOT89-3, SOT23-3, SOT23-5, and DFN1X1-4L.
