NSG4427

The NSG4427 is a driver for power switch series. It features matched rise and fall times when charging and discharging the gate of a power switch. The NSG4427 exhibits high latch-up immunity under any conditions within its rated power and voltage range. When noise spikes of up to 5V (either polarity) appear on the ground pin, the NSG4427 will not be damaged. The NSG4427 can accept reverse currents of up to 500mA forced back into its outputs without damage or logic upset. All terminals are fully protected against ESD up to 2.0kV. The NSG4427 is an ultra-high-speed, high-current power IC driver. Its signal input ports (INA, INB) operate in level-triggered mode — the IC functions normally as long as the voltage meets the logic requirements. The NSG4427 contains two independent signal input ports for receiving control signals from the host controller without mutual interference. These two ports are designed with high reliability: even when a 500mA reverse current is forced back into the outputs, no damage or logic upset will occur. The signal input ports also feature the ability to directly handle voltages down to -10V, ensuring safe IC operation under large noise waveform interference and improving overall stability. The NSG4427 signal input ports have pull-up resistors to GND; it is recommended to short these ports to GND when not in use. The NSG4427 outputs are non-inverting with respect to the inputs and can be used to drive either P-type or N-type MOSFETs. Each output port can source or sink peak currents of 2A. Its high-speed, high-current characteristics make it suitable for driving MOSFETs in high-frequency application designs. The NSG4427's high-speed, high-current capability is well-suited for applications such as high-frequency power supplies. A typical application is as follows: the PWM output stage of a host IC often lacks sufficient drive capability to directly drive power-stage MOSFETs, so a high-power driver IC is required between the host IC and the MOSFETs to drive the gate voltage, ensuring that the MOSFETs operate in a stable state.
