Overview

The UMW PCA9535 series provides general-purpose parallel I/O expansion. Port data is transmitted via the standard I²C protocol, supporting communication rates up to 1MHz (up to 2MHz with high-speed mode enabled). The series features 16-bit totem-pole I/O ports capable of directly driving LEDs. Each GPIO port bit can be independently configured as input or output. At power-up, all I/Os are configured as inputs.
