Overview

The PN8275 integrates a current-mode controller and a high-voltage startup module, designed for high-performance AC/DC switching power supplies with a minimized external component count. The IC achieves ultra-low standby power consumption and optimal efficiency across the full voltage range through a hybrid modulation scheme combining QR-PWM, QR-PFM, and Burst-mode, along with a special low-power device architecture. Frequency modulation and SoftDriver technology ensure excellent system EMI performance. In addition, the PN8275 provides comprehensive, high-performance intelligent protection features, including input under/overvoltage protection, X-capacitor discharge, output overvoltage protection, external OTP protection, cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection, overload protection, and soft-start.
