Overview
SGM2578A is a single load switch with reverse current protection. The device operates from a 1V to 5.5V single supply and can drive up to 2A of continuous current. The device integrates a 30mΩ low on-resistance N-channel MOSFET controlled by the ON pin. Upon initial power-up, a smart pull-down resistor holds the ON pin floating until the system stabilizes. Once the ON pin reaches a high voltage (above the input high-level voltage), the pull-down resistor disconnects, resulting in very low standby current to reduce power consumption. The small package and low on-resistance make this device ideal for space-constrained, battery-powered applications. The device supports a wide input voltage range, suitable for various voltage rails. Rise time is controlled to prevent inrush current. The SGM2578A provides fast output discharge in the disabled state. The SGM2578A is available in an RoHS-compliant WLCSP-0.9×0.9-4B-A package.
