Overview
The SGM706B is an integrated microprocessor supervisory device. Compared to designs using discrete components or individual ICs, this integrated approach offers improved system reliability and accuracy. The SGM706B asserts a reset during power-up, power-down, and brownout conditions. The reset output remains valid even when VCC drops as low as 1V. It also features an active-low manual reset input (nMR). The SGM706B includes an independent watchdog circuit that triggers when the WDI input is not toggled within 1.6 seconds. Power failure detection, low battery monitoring, or additional supply supervision can be implemented using the SGM706B's 1.25V threshold detector. The SGM706B is available in Green UTDFN-1.5×1.5-8L, SOIC-8, and MSOP-8 packages, with an operating junction temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
