Overview
SM8001 is a high-efficiency 1.5MHz synchronous buck converter with an input voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V, capable of delivering up to 1A of output current. It integrates top and bottom MOSFETs with ultra-low RDS(ON) to minimize conduction losses. The quasi-constant 1.5MHz switching frequency allows the use of small-value external inductors and capacitors. SM8001 employs a constant off-time, peak current mode control scheme for fast transient response and high efficiency at light loads. It also provides cycle-by-cycle current limiting protection, output undervoltage protection, and over-temperature protection. For the target application specifications, simply select the input and output capacitors, inductor, feedback resistor divider, and feed-forward capacitor.
