The SP1117 series is a low dropout linear regulator with a 1.3V dropout voltage at 1A load current. Compared to competitors' 5mA, the SP1117 features an ultra-low quiescent current of only 1.8mA. In addition to fixed output voltage versions (1.2V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.85V, 3.3V, and 5V), the SP1117 also offers an adjustable version that provides 1.25V to 12V output voltage with only two external resistors. The SP1117 features thermal shutdown protection to ensure stability of the IC and power system. It employs trimming technology to guarantee output voltage accuracy within 2%. Other output voltage accuracies (e.g., 1%) are available upon request. The SP1117 is available in SOT-89-3L, SOT-223, and TO-252 power packages.
