Overview
This series comprises cost-effective system power supply monitoring circuits designed to monitor power supplies in digital systems. They provide power supply monitoring circuitry that generates a reset output during power-up, power-down, and undervoltage conditions. The reset output remains asserted with VCC as low as 1V. An independent watchdog monitoring circuit is also provided; if the watchdog input is not toggled within 1.6 seconds, the circuit is activated. Additionally, a 1.25V threshold detector is included for power failure warning, battery low detection, or monitoring an additional supply. A low-active, debounced manual reset input is also included. In this series, an active-high reset replaces the watchdog timer. In this series, RESET is provided instead of RESET. All versions are available in a compact SOP-8 package.
