Overview
SSP1117 is a series of low dropout regulators with a 1.3V dropout voltage at 1A load current. The quiescent current is extremely low at a typical value of 2mA, compared to 5mA for competing devices. In addition to fixed output voltage versions (including 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.85V, 3.3V, and 5V), the SSP1117 also offers an adjustable version that provides output voltages from 1.25V to 12V using only two external resistors. The series features thermal shutdown to ensure stability of the die and power supply system. Trimming technology is employed to guarantee output voltage accuracy within 2%. Other output voltage accuracies, such as 1%, are available upon request. The SSP1117 is offered in SOT-223, TO-252, and SOT89-3 power packages.
