The TLV8x3 series supervisory circuits primarily provide circuit initialization and timing supervision for DSPs and processor-based systems. During power-up, RESET is asserted when the supply voltage (VDD) exceeds 1.1V. The supervisory circuit then monitors VDD and holds RESET active as long as VDD remains below the threshold voltage VΠ. An internal timer delays the output from returning to its standby state (logic high) to ensure proper system reset. The delay time (td(typ)=200ms) begins once VDD exceeds the threshold voltage VΠ. When the supply voltage drops below the threshold voltage VΠ, the output becomes active (logic low) again. All devices in this series feature a fixed sense threshold voltage (VΠ) set by an internal voltage divider. This product family is designed for 2.5V, 3V, 3.3V, and 5V supply voltages. These devices are available in a 3-pin small-outline transistor (SOT)-23 package. The TLV803 devices are rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
