Overview

TP4585 is a single-chip power management SOC integrating linear charge management, synchronous boost conversion, battery level indication, and multiple protection functions, providing a complete single-chip power solution for charging and discharging of Bluetooth headset charging cases. TP4585 internally integrates a high-voltage linear charge management module, a synchronous boost discharge management module, a battery level detection and LED indication module, and multiple protection modules. TP4585 features built-in charge and discharge power MOSFETs, with a charging current of 230mA, a maximum synchronous boost output current of 500mA, and a light-load shutdown current of 7mA for discharge loads. TP4585 features extremely low standby power consumption. With the chip powered off and the load open-circuited, the standby current can be as low as 0.8uA. TP4585 internally integrates multiple safety protection features — including temperature compensation, over-temperature protection, overcharge and over-discharge protection, output overvoltage protection, output overcurrent protection, and output short-circuit protection — to ensure the safety of both the chip and the lithium-ion battery. The TP4585 application circuit is simple, requiring minimal external components to implement a complete lithium battery charge/discharge solution, significantly reducing system cost and footprint.
