The TPL8031Q series supports an operating voltage range of 3V to 42V (maximum transient voltage 45V). The low operating voltage down to 3V enables the TPL8031Q to continue operating reliably under cold-crank and start-stop conditions. The TPL8031Q is a low-dropout linear regulator with a quiescent current as low as 3μA and a maximum output current capability of 300mA. With these features, the TPL8031Q is the ideal solution for powering MCUs, CAN/LIN transceivers in always-on applications, and battery-connected applications in automotive systems. The TPL8031Q series offers fixed 5V and 3.3V output voltage options, supports a wide output capacitance range of 1μF to 200μF, and an ESR range of 0.001Ω to 10Ω. In addition, the TPL8031Q series integrates overcurrent protection and overtemperature protection. The TPL8031Q series operates over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Furthermore, the TPL8031Q series is available in thermally enhanced packages including DFN3X3-8, EMSOP8, and SOT223-3 to ensure continuous operation under significant heat dissipation conditions.
