The TPS54360-Q1 is a 60V, 3.5A step-down regulator with an integrated high-side MOSFET. Per ISO 7637, the device can withstand load dump pulses up to 65V. Current mode control provides simple external compensation and flexible component selection. Low-ripple pulse skip mode reduces no-load supply current to 146μA. When the enable pin is pulled low, shutdown supply current drops to 2μA. The undervoltage lockout is internally set at 4.3V but can be increased using an external resistor divider on the enable pin. The output voltage startup ramp is internally controlled for a controlled startup with no overshoot. The wide switching frequency range allows optimization of either efficiency or external component size. Frequency foldback and thermal shutdown protect internal and external components under overload conditions. The TPS54360-Q1 is available in an 8-pin thermally enhanced HSOIC PowerPAD package.
