Overview

The TPS56624x is an easy-to-use, high-efficiency synchronous buck converter with high power density. The device is available in a SOT-563 package, supporting an input voltage range of 3V to 16V and continuous current up to 6A. The TPS56624x employs D-CAP3 topology to provide fast transient response and support low-ESR output capacitors without external compensation. The device features two ground pins, GND and AGND; connecting them together yields optimal thermal performance. AGND also provides excellent load and line regulation. The device supports duty cycles up to 98%. The TPS566242 operates in ECO mode to maintain high efficiency during light-load operation. The TPS566247 operates in FCCM mode to maintain a consistent frequency and low output ripple under all load conditions. The device provides comprehensive protection via OVP, OCP, UVLO, OTP, and UVP (discontinuous mode). The device is offered in a 1.6mm × 1.6mm SOT-563 package with an optimized pin layout that facilitates easy PCB layout. The rated junction temperature range is -40°C to 125°C.
