TPS62160-Q1 is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC-DC converter optimized for high power density applications. The device features a typical switching frequency of up to 2.25MHz, allowing the use of small inductors, and employs DCS-Control™ topology to deliver fast transient response and high output voltage accuracy. The device operates over a wide input voltage range of 3V to 17V, making it well suited for systems powered by lithium-ion or other batteries and 12V intermediate power rails. The output voltage ranges from 0.9V to 6V, supporting up to 1A continuous output current (using 100% duty cycle mode). Power sequencing can also be implemented by configuring the enable pin and the open-drain power-good pin. In power save mode, the device draws approximately 17μA quiescent current based on the input voltage (VIN). It automatically and seamlessly enters power save mode at light loads, maintaining high efficiency across the entire load range. In shutdown mode, the device turns off and consumes less than 2μA during shutdown. The device is available in a 2mm×2mm (DSG) 8-pin WSON package.
