The TPS6217x-Q1 series is a simple-to-use synchronous step-down DC/DC converter optimized for high power density applications. The device features a typical switching frequency of up to 2.25MHz, allowing the use of small inductors, and employs DCS-Control™ topology to provide fast transient response and high output voltage accuracy. With a wide operating input voltage range of 3V to 17V, the device is well-suited for systems powered by lithium-ion or other batteries and 12V intermediate power rails. Its output voltage ranges from 0.9V to 6V, supporting up to 0.5A continuous output current (using 100% duty cycle mode). Power sequencing can also be achieved by configuring the enable pin and open-drain power-good pin. In power save mode, the device generates approximately 17μA quiescent current based on the input voltage (VIN). The device automatically and seamlessly enters power save mode at light loads, maintaining high efficiency across the full load range. In shutdown mode, the device turns off with a shutdown current consumption of less than 2μA. The device is available in both adjustable and fixed output voltage versions, offered in a 2mm×2mm (DSG) 8-pin WSON package.
