Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt regulator that allows the output voltage to be set to any value between Vref (approximately 1.24V) and 18V using two external resistors. These devices feature a typical output impedance of 0.05Ω. The active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in many applications, including on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and power-on/power-off control.
