VPS6002

VPS6002 is a linear regulator capable of withstanding ultra-high input voltages, with continuous operation up to 100V input and transient voltage tolerance up to 115V. Combined with the ESOP8 package's enhanced thermal dissipation, it can deliver wide-duration transient high currents at high input voltages, meeting the short-duration dynamic high-current demands of microprocessors. The VPS6002 features dual-stage outputs, VO1 and VO2. VO1 uses the high-voltage VIN as its input supply, while VO2 uses VO1 as its input supply. This enables integration with a switching power supply: when the switching supply is active, energy is fed back to VO1, automatically shutting down the ultra-high-voltage linear regulator from VIN to VO1 to improve overall system efficiency; when the switching supply is inactive, the ultra-high-voltage linear regulator resumes operation, achieving ultra-low standby power consumption. VPS6002 maintains stability with ceramic capacitors, requiring minimal PCB space. Integrated thermal shutdown and current limiting functions protect the system under fault conditions. The ESOP8 package supports an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
