The 8002A is a Class AB, mono, bridge audio power amplifier with shutdown mode. Operating at 5V with a 1kHz input signal, it delivers a maximum output power of 3W (4Ω load, THD<10%) or 2W (4Ω load, THD<1%); total harmonic distortion plus noise is less than 1% across the 20Hz to 20kHz audio bandwidth. The device requires minimal external components to deliver high-quality output power, with no external coupling capacitors, bootstrap capacitors, snubber networks, or feedback resistors required at the output. The 8002A comes in an SOP-8 package, making it ideal for low-power, compact portable systems. It supports a shutdown mode via a control pin for reduced power consumption and incorporates an internal thermal shutdown protection mechanism.
