Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt voltage regulator with an output voltage settable to any value between Vref (approximately 2.5V) and 36V using two external resistors. These devices feature an output impedance of 0.15 Ω (typical). The active output circuitry provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making them an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in numerous applications. Typical applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and power-on/power-off protection.
