AS4950-MS

This device is a full-bridge DMOS brushed motor driver IC with a maximum operating range of ±3.5A and 40V input voltage, using PWM signals to control motor speed and direction. When both logic inputs are low, the motor driver enters a low-power sleep mode. It integrates a current limiting function based on the analog reference voltage VREF and ISEN pin voltage, which limits the current to a preset level, significantly reducing system power requirements and the need for large bulk capacitors to maintain voltage stability — especially during motor startup and stall conditions. Internal shutdown functions provide overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, undervoltage lockout, and overtemperature protection. The device is housed in an SOP-8 package with an exposed pad for improved thermal dissipation, is lead-free, and features a lead frame with 100% matte tin plating.
