Overview
The BDxxGA5MEFJ-M/VEFJ-M series are LDO regulators capable of delivering 0.5A output current with ±1% output accuracy. Available in both adjustable output types — configurable to any output voltage between 1.5V and 13.0V via external resistors — and fixed output types with preset voltages of 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.0V, 3.3V, 5V, 6V, 7V, 8V, 9V, 10V, and 12V. The package uses the HTSOP-J8, which offers excellent thermal dissipation. The device integrates an overcurrent protection circuit to prevent IC damage due to output short circuits, an ON/OFF switch that reduces circuit current to 0μA during shutdown, and a thermal protection circuit to prevent heat damage to the IC under overload conditions. In addition, it supports ceramic output capacitors, contributing to SET (system) miniaturization and extended service life.
