Overview

The BD800M5Wxxx-C series are linear regulators designed for low current consumption, intended for power supply use in various automotive applications. These products support a maximum voltage of up to 45V, an output current of up to 500mA, and a current consumption as low as 17μA (typical). They regulate output with high accuracy: ±2% (BD800M5WFPJ-C, BD800M5WHFP-C) and ±2.6% (BD800M5WFP2-C). The output voltage is adjustable from 1.2V to 16V via an external resistor divider connected to the adjustment pin. These regulators are therefore well-suited for applications requiring direct battery connection with low current consumption. A logic "High" on the EN pin enables the device, while a logic "Low" input to the EN pin disables it. The device integrates overcurrent protection to guard against damage caused by short circuits or overload conditions. Thermal shutdown protection is also integrated to prevent damage due to overheating. In addition, low-ESR ceramic capacitors are suitable for phase compensation.
