Overview
BDR6116B is a dedicated driver IC for small brushed DC motor control, offering four operating modes: forward, reverse, brake, and standby. It operates over a supply voltage range of 2V to 6.5V, and at VDD = 6V under room temperature conditions, it can deliver a continuous output current of up to 1.2A and a peak current of up to 2A. The IC integrates an over-temperature protection circuit: when the junction temperature exceeds 150°C (typical), the internal circuitry shuts down the power transistors to stop output current; once the junction temperature drops back to a safe level of 120°C, the IC resumes normal operation, effectively preventing damage caused by overheating.
