Overview
BDR6118 is a driver IC for DC motor control. The chip adopts an H-bridge circuit topology with built-in P/N MOSFET power switches, supporting four control modes: forward rotation, reverse rotation, braking, and standby. The BDR6118 features a wide operating voltage range of 2V ~ 7V. At an ambient temperature of 25℃ and VDD = 6V, the chip can deliver a continuous current of up to 1.8A and a peak current of up to 2.5A to the motor load. The BDR6118 integrates an over-temperature protection circuit: when the junction temperature exceeds 150℃ (typical), the internal circuitry shuts down the power switches and stops output current; once the junction temperature drops back to the safe level of 130℃, the chip resumes normal operation. This over-temperature protection feature prevents the chip from being damaged by overheating.
