BDR6170T

BDR6170T is a high-power DC motor driver IC designed to drive a DC motor or one winding of a stepper motor, suitable for printers, robotic vacuum cleaners, massage chairs, and other consumer and industrial equipment. Dual logic inputs control an H-bridge driver that delivers a peak output current of 3.6A for bidirectional motor control. Using current decay modes, motor speed can be regulated via PWM. When both logic inputs are set low, the motor driver enters a low-power sleep mode. The BDR6170T integrates a current regulation function that limits current to a set value based on the analog input VREF and the voltage at ISEN, reducing system power consumption and eliminating the need for large bulk capacitors to maintain stable voltage — particularly during motor startup and shutdown. The BDR6170T integrates multiple protection features, including UVLO, OCP, and OTP.
