Overview

The CA-IF43232E device consists of two line drivers, two line receivers, and a dual charge pump circuit. It complies with the TIA/EIA-232-F standard and provides an electrical interface between asynchronous communication controllers and serial port connectors. The device supports single-supply operation from 3V to 5.5V, with the internal charge pump requiring four small external capacitors. The CA-IF43232E supports data rates up to 250kbps, with a maximum driver output (DOUT1/DOUT2) slew rate of 30V/μs. The CA-IF43232E is available in standard narrow-body SOIC16 and compact TSSOP16 packages, supporting an extended industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
