COSMAX3232EIPWR

The COSMAX3232 and COSMAX3222 series devices contain two line drivers, two line receivers, and a dual charge pump circuit. These devices meet TIA/EIA-232-F standard requirements and provide an electrical interface between asynchronous communication controllers and serial port connectors. The charge pump and four small external capacitors support single-supply operation from 3 V to 5.5 V. The devices support data signaling rates up to 250 kbit/s, with a maximum driver output slew rate of 30 V/μs. The COSMAX3222 device features a low-power shutdown mode, in which the device driver outputs and charge pump are disabled. During shutdown, supply current drops below 1 μA. When the device is in shutdown, the receivers remain active while the drivers are placed in a high-impedance state. By driving EN high, the receiver outputs can also be placed in a high-impedance state.
