Three half-bridge gate drivers can drive three high-side and three low-side N-channel MOSFETs (NMOS). The intelligent gate drive architecture features adjustable slew rate control, with a peak sourcing current ranging from 10 mA to 1 A and a peak sinking current from 20 mA to 2 A, and integrates a gate driver power supply. It supports a 100% PWM duty cycle, a high-side charge pump, and a low-side linear regulator. The operating voltage range is from 6 V to 60 V, with an optional integrated buck regulator. The LMR16006X SIMPLE SWITCHER has an operating voltage range of 4 V to 60 V, an output voltage range of 0.8 V to 60 V, and an output capacity of 600 mA. There are three optional integrated current sense amplifiers (CSA) with adjustable gains (5, 10, 20, 40 V/V), supporting both bidirectional and unidirectional operation. It provides SPI and hardware interfaces, 6x, 3x, 1x, and independent PWM modes, supports 1.8 V, 3.3 V, and 5 V logic inputs, has a low-power sleep mode (12 μA), a 3.3 V, 30 mA linear regulator, and comes in a compact QFN package. It features an efficient system design using power blocks. It has VM under-voltage lockout (UVLO), charge pump under-voltage (CPUV), MOSFET over-current protection (OCP), gate driver fault (GDF), thermal warning and thermal shutdown (OTW/OTSD), and a fault status indicator (nFAULT). The DRV832x series devices are integrated gate drivers suitable for three-phase applications. These devices have three half-bridge gate drivers, each capable of driving high-side and low-side N-channel power MOSFETs. The DRV832x uses an integrated charge pump to generate the appropriate gate drive voltage for the high-side MOSFETs and a linear regulator to generate the appropriate gate drive voltage for the low-side MOSFETs. This intelligent gate drive architecture supports a peak gate drive sourcing current of up to 1 A and a peak gate drive sinking current of 2 A. The DRV832x can be powered by a single power supply and supports a wide input power supply range of 6 V to 60 V for the gate driver and 4 V to 60 V for the optional buck regulator. The 6x, 3x, 1x, and independent input PWM modes simplify the connection to the controller circuit. The configuration settings of the gate driver and the device are highly configurable and can be implemented through the SPI or hardware (H/W) interface. The DRV8323 and DRV8323R devices integrate three low-side current sense amplifiers for bidirectional current sensing on all three phases of the drive stage. The DRV8320R and DRV8323R devices integrate a 600 mA buck regulator. A low-power sleep mode is provided to achieve low quiescent current consumption by shutting down most of the internal circuits. Internal protection functions are provided for under-voltage lockout, charge pump fault, MOSFET over-current, MOSFET short-circuit, gate driver fault, and overheating. Fault conditions and fault details can be displayed on the nFAULT pin through the device registers of the SPI device model.
