Overview
The DRV883x provides an integrated motor driver solution for cameras, consumer products, toys, and other low-voltage or battery-powered motion control applications. This device can drive a DC motor or other devices such as solenoids. The output driver block consists of N-channel power MOSFETs configured as an H-bridge to drive the motor windings. An internal charge pump generates the required gate drive voltage. The DRV883x can provide an output current of up to 1.8A. It operates with a motor supply voltage between 0 and 11V and a device supply voltage in the range of 1.8V to 7.0V. The DRV8837 features a PWM (IN/IN) input interface; the DRV8838 features a PH/EN input interface. Both interfaces are compatible with industry-standard devices. Internal shutdown functions for overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, undervoltage lockout, and thermal protection are also provided.
