Overview
This device is designed for PWM speed control of DC motors. It integrates an H-bridge driver and control circuitry, with a peak output current of 5A, continuous output current up to 3.0A, and a maximum operating voltage of 45V. PWM control signals applied to inputs IN1 and IN2 enable control of DC motor speed and direction. An internal synchronous regulation circuit reduces power dissipation during PWM control. The device features an ultra-low power sleep mode. On-chip protection functions include overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, undervoltage protection, and overtemperature protection. Drive current can be limited via an external resistor. The device is available in an ESOP-8 package with an exposed thermal pad for effective heat dissipation, and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
