Overview
The DS1302ZN trickle-charge timekeeping circuit contains a real-time clock/calendar and 31 bytes of static RAM, communicating with a microprocessor via a simple serial interface. The real-time clock/calendar provides year, month, date, hour, minute, and second information, automatically adjusts the end-of-month date for months with fewer than 31 days, and includes leap year correction. The clock can operate in 12-hour or 24-hour mode with an AM/PM indicator. The device is available in a SOP8 package.
