Overview
ES8485E-SR is a RS-485 transceiver with 3.0V~5.5V wide supply voltage, bus port ESD protection up to 15kV HBM, bus voltage tolerance of ±15V, half-duplex, low power consumption, fully compliant with TIA/EIA-485 standard. ES8485E-SR includes one driver and one receiver, both of which can be independently enabled or disabled. When both are disabled, both the driver and receiver output high-impedance state. ES8485E-SR features 1/8 unit load, allowing up to 256 ES8485E-SR transceivers to be connected in parallel on the same communication bus. Error-free data transmission up to 2.5Mbps is achievable. ES8485E-SR operates at 3.3V with fail-safe, current limiting protection, and overvoltage protection features.
